  1. We gained audience feedback through our ‘Rough Cut’ of our music video, showing a wide range of audiences as a common misconception about music videos is that it is strictly aimed at teenage audiences, which is not true, therefore we struggled to specifically aim our music video at an target audience but did gain a few ideas in which will attract certain audiences through our research into our genre.
The responses were varied from hardly identifying any mistakes or errors and understanding the concept, to be mutually satisfied advising us with a few tips to improve and higher the level of professionalism in our music videos for instance level of quality, transitions and effective edits. In which we believed to be true, however we as a group have discussed that we were being too critical of our music video, in which we thought that was a good thing, as if we are not critical making sure every aspect is perfect then we would not want our audiences to pick out the errors, that is our job through peer analysis.
We can discreetly see an targeted audience appearing, which is of youngsters mainly through the teens phase who are still young, free and enjoying their lives and so they can relate to the actors in our music video for entertainment and escapism being the two main gratifications and uses.
The factors that make a great music video in our audiences’ eyes we believe are; unique range of shots, transitions and edits so that they can visually have an adventurous viewing experience for escapism, also the creativity with the storyline for instance the actors doing various tricks, stunts which amazes the audiences and of course pleasant and appropriate music which makes all the difference to the viewing of the music videos.
